Our Children's Aims
& Objectives Education
We aim to provide a warm stable and safe environment to enable each young person to develop and have their own individual needs met, this being cultural spiritual, emotional
social and educational this will be implemented in a positive and progressive way
Botany House will support young people diagnosed with mild learning difficulties such as
ADHD and Autism. Our home is built on principles of stability, trust, and holistic care,
ensuring that every child receives individualised support tailored to their needs.
Each young person’s support package will be tailored to suite their individual needs
external agencies will be sourced to help support this as and where necessary. Issues that
have historically and presently identified within the young person’s care plan will be
followed up roots of care will ensure that we work with a multi-agency approach which will
enable all professionals involved to access and review all areas of the young person’s
development.
Botany House accept planned placements, conducted thorough preplanning
assessments, this will be done prior to admission to ensure all young people who live at
Botany house are well matched and can live together harmoniously. Where possible, young people will have the opportunity to visit the home beforehand, meet the staff team, and receive a personalised welcome pack to help ease their transition. Within this welcome
pack the young person will receive everything the need to know about their new home,
information regarding children’s rights and the homes children’s guide. The young person will also have the opportunity to go out with their nominated keyworker and purchase items to personalise their room. This will enable the young person’s keyworker to start to form a working relations ship away from the home i.e. other young people and the rest of the staff
team that will be on duty that day.
We will always ensure, when intaking new placements and discharging old placements to
notify Walsall council, of the young person’s local authority social work details. This
shared notification of information will also be kept within the young person’s file date time
and person who was in receipt of this information from Walsall Council.
